The

in the UK. The Knavesmire is just up the road from the
hotel and on big race days attracts crowds of up to 35,00.

the Yorkshire Pantry, the French market and the York Food
festival markets, there is plenty to see and buy!
The jewel in the crown in this great city is York Minster,
Europe's largest Gothic cathedral standing over 200ft
tall and over a 1000 years old. It contains the largest
collection of medieval stained glass in the world.
The bar walls surround the old city centre with its medieval
cobbled streets and traditional timber buildings. A walk
around the walls offers unique views into the otherwise
hidden grounds of the fine houses that surround the Minster.
